Albert Sage

Although Albert's family lived in Brantford Ontario at the time of his death. The family were natives of Milton Regis, living at 3 North street only a few years before the war started. On the morning of the 14th of June 1916 Albert was taking part in an attack on an enemy trench with a grenade platoon. They approched the trench under heavy shell fire.Once the trench was in British hands the trench itself came under direct enemy attack and the bay Albert was sheltering in received a direct hit killing all the men in that bay of the trench, Albert died instantly.
